I kinda have a problem, I bought a used broken Nerf Centurion and i noticed that when i prime it back and forward, the inner barrel/plunger isn't alligned with the front part of the gun and hence it jams the dart always. There is a bit of play when I prime it backwards such that if i hold it to the back, it alignes it but the moment i push the prime forward, the barrel drops. Do you think having or installing a 12kg spring that is strong will solve this issue?

Could you use cutting board for this or does it have to be polycarb/acrylic? I don't really want to use polycarb because the store I work at only sells polycarb that thick in the biggest sheets, for some money I wouldn't like to spend.
